I flew into Barcelona last night on a plane. I sat beside a man. The purpose of his trip? Both his sons were robbed in separate incidents the day before, and he was coming over to help them get home.

I know a Catalan robbed in Rosa Negra in Lietana. I know another Catalan who not only had her bag opened and robbed but she was touched between the legs while it was happening. I know an ex-rugby for the Spanish team and his new girlfriend who were surrounded by five guys at the top of Rambla Raval last week and only because the guy put up enough bravado did they back off. Victor, you think these thieving fuckers care where you are from? Wake up mate! They rob anyone they can.. the only reason more tourists get robbed is because they aren’t used to watching their backs every time they step outside.
