Here’s a snippet in Catalan: “Els grups de carteristes romanesos, els més nombrosos al metro, estan captant persones de l’Europa de l’Est per ensenyar-los a cometre furts a les andanes i augmentar la xifra de membres d’aquestes bandes, formades per entre sis i vuit persones. L’augment del nombre de membres dels grups té dues conseqüències: d’una banda, un perfeccionament del modus operandi de les bandes, i, de l’altra, una activitat il·lícita a més parades i estacions de trens de la capital, segons confirma la policia catalana.”
Same snippet in English here: “Groups of Romanian pickpockets (the most prevalent in the metro) are enlisting Eastern Europeans to teach them how to commit theft on the train platforms and increase membership in their gangs, made up of between six and eight people. The growth in group membership has two consequences: firstly, perfection of the gangs’ modus operandi and secondly, illegal activity in more stops and stations in Barcelona according to the Catalan police.”
