Scammed on holiday? Would you like to be a part of a new travel show? We’re looking for participants to tell their story on camera.
This is the message UK television production company Zig Zag Productions has asked us to communicate to our readers.
Describing our site as “a fantastic resource”, the team planning the series found this site a potential way to find victims of crime in Barcelona. Of interest to them are stories that touch on pickpocketing (of various flavours, including: petition scams, the Ronaldinho scam, the pickpockets who dress up as tourists, the metro push) and also the tyre-slash scam, the gypsy flower scam, the 3-shell game, the fake-police trick, and the contortionist trick.
The production company is keen to be fair to Barcelona - it is, after all, a stunning place - they say: "We’ll emphasize each city as an incredible place to visit but also examine the pitfalls that can beset the unwary traveller." They continue, saying: "We’ll also go behind the tourist attractions and show viewers the real city with its cast of colourful characters who rely on the tourist industry to survive."
Feel free to get in touch with Kirsty at the e-mail address or phone number given below. She's asked me to reassure anyone who gets in contact that your conversation will be held in the strictest confidence.
Alternatively, if you don't mind talking about it, please let us know in the comments section below if you got in contact, or if you'll be featured, because you know we'd love to hear about it!
