We’re pleased – thanks to YouTube – to be able to offer you the facility to send us videos anonymously.
Add this email address to the phone contacts of your smartphone, and if you capture something of interest, email it to us, anonymously. Your contact details will not appear, and we won’t see those contact details.
Remember, whilst it’s common to shoot vertically on iPhones, Androids and WP7′s, YouTube still prefers horizontal alignment.
For those too lazy to type, here’s the first part of that address: i5fym0m4tq8f
In the subject line, place the title of your video.
In the body of the email, place a brief description of your video.
The video will appear on our YouTube channel at: http://www.youtube.com/user/RobbedinBarcelona (it’s not much to look at now, but it will improve).
We will promote it to our Facebook and Twitter followers thereafter.
Happy shooting, but be careful out there, don’t take unnecessary risks. Take note, people who shoot videos of events come in for condemnation online (although you’ll be anonymous) from those who believe the person with the camera should do something to stop a crime, rather than recording it for others to view and others to learn. Perhaps you’re superman/woman, perhaps you can do both, we won’t make such judgements.

This is a really important facility.
Those who condem that the photographer didn’t intervene to stop the attack are not in a position to judge the risks and dangers faced by the witnesses (and victim) in the situation at the time, especially if there is a group of robbers.
I have seen 12-15 people operating together as a group on the metro, and you can never be sure if there are others around at a discreet distance who you didn’t realise where there and who might intervene if their ‘mission’ is intercepted.
It is not always possible to intervene without putting yourself (and/or your children, if you are with them!) in real danger.
If the only alternative to doing nothing is recording the event, which still carries its own risks, then all power to the witnesses who do so.
And to this website for showing to the world what it’s really like to live in and visit Barcelona.
